What matters to your workers?
There are plenty of organisations that don’t ask themselves this question. It’s fairly simple: what would improve the day for the people who work here? And it’s really important, not least because happy workers are a whopping 12 per cent more productive than the average worker (The Stoddart Review).
Treating the team right isn’t just a treat for the bottom line, though. The Stoddart Review also outlines how “the workplace has profoundly changed to being a catalyst for community and cohesion”. So the benefits of happy workers actually extend far beyond the workplace — creating happier communities.
Small changes make a big difference
The great thing is, boosting the happiness and wellbeing of your team isn’t difficult. Even little things can make a huge difference to how people feel, in turn helping them to work more effectively as a team, approach difficult tasks with a better attitude and increase their overall productivity.
A significant 68 per cent of workers, for example, believe that high quality coffee makes the office better. While 80 per cent of staff rate restaurant facilities as important to them, and almost 9 out of 10 state that refreshment facilities are something they value greatly at work.
Help your workers be happy
Putting a little effort into making sure that your workplace offers a great service to the people who make it great is a simple way to improve both morale and the bottom line.
That’s where we come in, providing great service in the form of our workplace restaurants.
